All those who somehow care about the environment and who are simply not indifferent to what is happening around the world must have seen the documentaries, “A Life on Our Planet” and “SeaSpiracy” in recent weeks.
As an NGO, whose mission is to educate society on environmental and social issues, we greatly appreciate these documentaries, because they perform a remarkable service in effectively highlighting the global problem. We could call them “eye-opening”. But do they have a long-term impact ? We are faced with so much information in 90 minutes, mostly really devastating, and tend to feel hopeless. For this reason, it is crucial to find solutions which bring some hope.
We believe that our work starts here! The opportunity to be a part of the solution, part of the community that has the power to actually change things is a great motivation, don't you agree? We know how difficult it can be to explain complex environmental issues simply. Our wide range of causes described in the viaGood app will navigate you through this complex maze. Let's discuss shared visions, make a real impact and find a solution to the problems defined in the documentaries.
A Life on Our Planet is an exceptional documentary in which the naturalist Sir David Attenborough maps out how steeply the planet’s biodiversity has diminished over his lifetime. This is his “witness statement” for the environment. The documentary illustrates the depletion of the oceans, the loss of rainforests and biodiversity, with the result that just 4 % of wild animals remain on our planet. Pollution and greenhouse gases, deforestation, overconsumption, together with overpopulation are the main threats to our planet and ultimately to all humans.

viaGood has been created to assist in solving these pressing problems. All the causes reflect issues that require vital changes and solutions. Fight Climate Change, Preserve the Rainforests, Cleanse the Oceans of Plastic Waste, Save Bornean Orangutans, Protect the Mountain Gorillas, Protect African Elephants, as well as Support Childhood Education and Stop Global Diseases – these are just the essence of the causes one can support in the viaGood app, so as to contribute to a better future for all of us. Ultimately, we all know that everything in the Universe is interconnected. When you assist in improving one issue, you indirectly positively impact other issues.

Seaspiracy, a documentary by Directors Ali and Lucy Tabrizi, exposes the commercial fishing industry’s harmful practices and highlights the pressing need to protect the oceans and marine life. Unsustainable fishing practices, the effects of carbon emissions, the bleaching of coral reefs, and the vast quantities of non-biodegradable plastics are having a devastating impact on the food chain in all the world’s oceans.
Cleanse the Oceans of Plastic Waste, Preserve the Arctic, Protect the Sharks, Whales and Sea Turtles – these are selected causes from the viaGood app that reflect calls to preserve our amazing marine life worldwide.
