viaGood is blooming

We’re delighted to unveil the new and improved version of the viaGood app, now available for download. It’s safe to say we’ve been through a ‘glow up’, as the kids say these days!

As well as donating to causes close to your heart, you can now sign petitions, attend sector-leading events and scale your impact like never before. “Interesting” we hear you say… well, like a cherry blossom just before bloom, we’re really only just getting started.

New causes

You can now take action against almost 50 of the world’s greatest social and environmental challenges, directly from your smartphone. From fighting climate change and combating racism to protecting bees and pollinators, you can help transform our planet.

The world has changed quite a bit (to say the least) since the first release of the viaGood app in early 2020. COVID-19, the war in Ukraine, increasing fuel poverty, the erosion of women’s rights, famine, drought, the ongoing massacre of the Amazon Rainforest, the list could go on. And while this is all incredibly upsetting, we thought it important to develop the app to better reflect the current crises we face today. You can (in addition to our 40 other causes):

Custom projects

You can also upload your very own projects to the viaGood app. Yes, you read that right. If there’s a non-profit you’re a big supporter of (or you yourself run a non-profit), you can now share their good work and help raise money through the international community of viaGood users. All you need to do is come up with an idea, attach it to a registered nonprofit and the viaGood team will make a pooled donation. It’s as simple as that.

Attend & promote events

What’s more, as a viaGood user, you can now browse and attend awareness-raising events to increase your understanding of global challenges. Whether you attend a webinar on nature-based solutions to the climate crisis, or promote your local litter-picking afternoon, the choice is yours.

Sign petitions

Influencing decision-makers is key to creating long-lasting global change. Therefore, viaGood users can sign petitions provided by Care2 - the world's largest social network for good - and contribute to systemic, meaningful change.

Last and certainly not least, viaGood will be available for download on the Google Play as well as Apple Store this summer! Now, the sky will be the limit to taking action, and not your mobile operating system. What will you do first in the viaGood app? Let us know in the comments.
